This is my second Delta pen, and WOW. This pen is brilliant. I love the size, it’s nice and large, has a great filling mechanism that isn’t very common. The grip section is not as large as that of the Ainu, so it’s easier to write with for extended periodes of time. It has a really nice classy design to it, I love the black and the palladium bands that are variously spaced, it makes me think of various layers of sedimentary rocks as if to represent the stratum. The centre band has a really nice detailed work of Finches, representing the works done by Darwin explaining the variation in Finches bills. And the nib, boy is it smooth, smoother then the Ainu, almost no feedback, no skipping, no issues whatsoever. It also has a nice engraving of either the Galapagos Land Snails that Darwin described or possibly an Ammonite fossile, either way it’s pretty :-)
I think this pretty much completes my Delta collection. Great pen if you can get your hands on one!
